Good News! International Students from HEBEI INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS Won the Group First Prize!

International students from HEBEI INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS have won the first prize in the 12^th “Ji Zhi Guang” Chinese Skills and Chinese Talent Competition for Foreign Student in Hebei Province, China.

On May 18th, the 12th “Ji Zhi Guang” （Light of Hebei Province） Chinese Skills and Chinese Talent Competition for Foreign Students hosted by the Hebei Provincial Education Department was held at Hebei Normal University. The competition brought together 151 international students from 44 countries from 19 top universities in the province, and they engaged in fierce competition on this brilliant stage.

The competition has set up two major units: “Chinese Knowledge Competition” and “Chinese Talent Exhibition”, aiming to comprehensively test the Chinese language proficiency and cultural talent of international students. The former deeply explores the Chinese language skills of international students through four events: Chinese character dictation, Chinese speech, Chinese writing, and cultural knowledge Q&A. The latter Unit allows international students to fully demonstrate their profound understanding and exquisite talents of Chinese culture through personal talent performances, intangible cultural heritage skills display, and campus skits or situational drama performances.

After a series of fierce competitions, the representative team of international students from this institute has achieved outstanding performance, with a high score of 50 points, surpassing the rest of the team and winning the first prize in the group, as well as the Best Organization Award. Their performance is unparalleled in the province.

In the competition for personal awards, international students from this institute also shine brightly. Russian student VLADLENA DRUGOVA stunned four audiences with a Chinese traditional dance “Mangzhong”(Grain in Ear,the 9^th of the solar term in China) and won first place in her personal talent exhibition. ULBOLSYN OSPANOVA, a Kazakh international student, stood out in the cultural knowledge Q&A session and won first prize. ANDREA VIRGINIA VERA VARGAS, a Bolivian international student, won the second prize in cultural knowledge Q&A. Bolivian international student BRAYAN GERALD CRUZ FULGUERA won the second prize in Chinese character dictation. ALENA PETOVRADZHI, a Russian international student, won the third prize in Chinese character dictation. DAMARIS CARLA MONTOYA BASUALTO, a Bolivian international student, won the third prize in Chinese writing.

This competition is not only a skill competition, but also a deep cultural integration and spiritual collision. International students have deeply experienced the unique charm of Chinese culture in the competition, and they use their talents and passion to interpret their infinite love and longing for Chinese culture. This heartfelt confession, “I have no regrets entering China in this life, and I am willing to be at a Chinese in the next life,” is not only the high respect that international students have for Chinese culture, but also their unwavering commitment to the inheritance of this culture in their hearts.
